Assessments
Continuous assessments through Unit Tests, Class Tests, Work sheets, Mental Maths and Dictations form a part of the evaluation process. Middle and Secondary Level
Classes V – VIII
As the child enters this stage, the pace of academics is accelerated. Students are encouraged to question, hypothesize, analyse and be creative. We follow the three language policy of CBSE. Hindi, Kannada & Sanskrit/French are offered as the 3rd language at this stage. Curriculum is based on team work vis-à-vis group discussions and group projects, activity based and experimentation. The student learns the basic concepts of Maths and Science by doing activities in the Maths & Science laboratories.
Classes IX – X Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)
An integrated two year curriculum and assessment offered by the CBSE is followed at this level. The CCE scheme of studies aims at a holistic assessment of the learner which includes both scholastic and co-scholastic areas. Special emphasis is laid on life skills, values, sports and co-curricular activities. The new evaluation pattern has been introduced by the CBSE Board from 2009. The core subjects are English, Hindi / Kannada, Mathematics, General Science & Social Science. Practical Exams in Science and Maths activities will be conducted as part of evaluation. A pass grade in all internal examinations is mandatory. The projects and activities play a major role in alleviating the stress of examination, yet taking into consideration the continuous performance of the student over two years. At the end of two years a student is ready to pursue a course of his/her choice in the Science, Arts and Commerce streams.

Assessments
Formative and Summative tests are done to evaluate the child’s academic performance at this stage. The academic calendar is divided into two terms with two formative and one summative assessment by the end of each term. Internal assessments are regularly done for evaluating the performance in class test, projects and assignments. These marks are included with the exam scores. Promotion will depend on the overall performance of the student in tests and examinations. The assessment also lays emphasis on conduct, discipline and participation in school and outdoor activities. Promotion is also subject to 90% attendance in class.
School Session & Timings
The school session will be from June to April followed by summer vacations.
The school timings are from 8:20 A.M. to 3:15 P.M and are staggered for different sections.
